Overview: As a financial planner recognized by FP Canada, you help clients make informed decisions about their financial future and improve their financial well-being. You possess strong knowledge in the seven main areas of financial planning, including retirement income strategies, investment products, and tax considerations. You are a client-focused communicator, using active listening to assess needs and provide personalized financial plans. Using tools like NaviPlan, you create detailed projections and guide clients confidently through their financial journey. You understand accumulation and retirement income products and their variations across Canadian jurisdictions. You support plan participants via phone or virtual tools such as TEAMS. You work closely with teammates across Canada, mainly in Montreal and Toronto, as part of a performance-driven team focused on collaboration and shared goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build trust-based relationships with participants, identifying needs and supporting asset retention within group retirement plans.
  2. Analyze complex financial situations and prepare comprehensive plans.
  3. Advise on retirement income options, investments, and government benefits.
  4. Achieve individual and team performance objectives to support organizational growth.
  5. Stay current on financial planning standards, tools, and regulations.
  6. Adapt to evolving technologies and processes in financial planning.
  7. Support asset accumulation and external asset consolidation within members’ accounts.
  8. Deliver quality advisory services, handle requests, and prepare reports.
  9. Collect and analyze financial data for decision-making.
  10. Promote digital tools and train participants to enhance their financial autonomy.
  11. Ensure accuracy of information shared with participants.
  12. Participate in GRS projects and initiatives to strengthen participant relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration
  • At least five years of relevant experience (other combinations may be considered)
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Life and Accident & Sickness License (via LLQP) issued by FSRA

  • Deep knowledge of group savings, financial advisory, and provincial regulations
  • Advanced English proficiency
  • Availability for occasional travel
