Provides financial and investment planning and advice to deliver solutions in the best interests of the customer. Determines client needs and provides solutions through the sales of managed products and services (e.g., mutual funds, retirement savings plans). Provides other solutions indirectly through referrals to business partners.

  • Leads proactive engagement with new and existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
  • Implements business development strategies to acquire new business, including outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals.
  • Engages customers to grow BMO's business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building relationships within the community.
  • Identifies opportunities during customer conversations to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products.
  • Supports the achievement of sales and performance targets.
  • Develops and implements a relationship management plan to meet client needs.
  • Responds to customer investment requests and refers to partners when appropriate.
  • Develops solutions and makes recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Delivers timely, accurate, and efficient service.
  • Introduces clients to investment strategies and helps set financial goals.
  • Probes to understand customer needs and integrates marketing promotions into conversations.
  • Contributes to improving business results and customer experience.
  • Maintains current knowledge of investment products, practices, and trends.
  • May work across multiple branches and channels based on market needs.
  • Builds effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Protects assets and complies with regulatory requirements.
  • May focus on a specific business group.

Qualifications :

  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience with a related post-secondary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Meets licensing and registration requirements as a Financial Planner in the employment province/territory.
  • Advanced knowledge of the financial industry.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or experience.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration & team skills.
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective influence skills.
  • Salary : $45,500.00 - $84,500.00

    Pay Type : Salaried & Commission

    Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications, and may include incentives and bonuses. Part-time salaries are pro-rated. The listed salary is the target for the first year for commission roles.
