Responsibilities include:

  • Providing financial and investment planning and advice in the best interests of the customer.
  • Determining client needs and offering solutions through sales of managed products and services (e.g., mutual funds, retirement plans).
  • Engaging proactively with new and existing customers to assess needs, grow loyalty, and identify opportunities.
  • Implementing business development strategies to acquire new business.
  • Building relationships within the community and generating referrals for banking products.
  • Supporting achievement of sales and performance targets.
  • Developing and executing relationship management plans.
  • Responding to customer investment requests and referring to partners when appropriate.
  • Staying current with industry knowledge and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Must meet licensing and registration requirements for a Financial Planner in the province or territory.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial industry, excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and influence skills.

Starting salary is $55,000 plus upward commission potential.

Salary range: $45,500 - $84,500.

Pay type: Salaried & Commission.
