Job description

Griffith & Associates is a financial planning firm in Calgary, Alberta. In almost 2 decades, they have grown to be one of Calgary's top firms, specializing in in-depth financial, tax, and estate planning. Their dynamic team excels in building strategies for executives and business owners. They currently service over 2000 households and manage over $300m.

We are looking for a detailed and experienced Financial Planner to start immediately. This role initially covers a maternity leave but could become a permanent position for the right candidate. The Financial Planner will be responsible for creating financial plans and recommendations based on the Advisor's guidance from client meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze financial data and develop tailored financial plans.
  2. Create recommendations and scenarios for client presentation.
  3. Develop income plans.
  4. Prepare for meetings and conduct follow-up.
  5. Maintain detailed records of financial plans and client interactions.
  6. Collaborate with other financial professionals (e.g., accountants, attorneys).
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation is mandatory; Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or QAFP is preferred.
  • Canadian Securities Course is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Provincial Life Insurance license, including Accident & Sickness coverage, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Conquest, Salesforce, and Naviplan is an asset.
  • Knowledge of industry legislation, rules, and requirements.
  • University degree or College diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and CRM systems is essential.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant industry courses and professional development.
