Job description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Finance Director to play a key leadership role in shaping our financial strategy, optimizing business performance, and driving long-term growth. This role will have a strong focus on forward-looking financial planning, operational finance, and business insights to support strategic decision-making.

Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Director will oversee budgeting and forecasting, contract and lease management, insurance renewals and finance automation initiatives. This role will also assist with M&A activities, oversee finance integration post-M&A, assess expansion opportunities, manage capital expenditures and find and implement operational improvement initiatives.

This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly Operations, People & Culture, Analytics and with team members within Finance, to support strategic initiatives and drive profitability. As a key advisor to the Executive Team, the Finance Director must possess exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and strong business acumen.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Finance & Leadership

  • Partner with the CFO to develop and execute financial strategies that support business growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing financial insights to drive decision-making.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
  • Support M&A activities, including financial due diligence, post-acquisition integration, and performance tracking

Operational & Business Finance

  • Establish and lead a robust forecasting process, and provide financial modeling and analysis to support business initiatives and strategic planning
  • Work with operations and external advisors as needed to manage contract, insurance and lease renewals, ensuring cost-effective and risk-mitigated agreements
  • Lead assessment of and planning for finance automation opportunities, working alongside the Controller to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborate with Operations to develop and drive operational improvement initiatives, leveraging financial data to enhance business performance
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics. A CPA designation is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, Accounting with demonstrated success in a leadership or advisory capacity
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; experience with Power Query / Power BI and Robotic Process Automation / AI implementation is highly valued
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering insights that influence business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and performance metrics
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A confident self starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
