Job description

The Financial Controller at Riverside Energy Systems oversees all financial operations including 2-3 direct reports, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulations, and strategic financial planning. This role is key in optimizing financial processes, managing budgeting and forecasting, and providing insights that support business growth and operational efficiency.

● Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

● Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.

● Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

● Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management.

Cash Flow & Compliance:

● Manage cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.

● Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and financial reporting requirements.

● Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies as needed.

Strategic Financial Planning:

● Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial planning and cost control.

● Identify opportunities for financial process improvements and cost savings.

● Support executive decision-making with data-driven financial insights.

● Experience managing financial teams or functions.

Preferred Qualifications

● Experience in the renewable energy or construction industry.

● Familiarity with financial forecasting and cost-control methodologies.

Working Conditions

● Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, standard business hours, with flexibility as required.

● Compensation: 90,000 - 110,000 starting salary. This allows room for growth within the company.
