Job summary

Raicor Contracting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own the accounting and financial functions across the group of companies. This leadership role combines hands-on work with strategic oversight, partnering with project managers and leadership to drive accuracy and timely reporting.

You will supervise month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and year-end work with external accountants, while continuously improving controls and financial processes to support operations.

Qualifications

• Strong full-cycle accounting and month-end experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls and year-end preparation.
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, investigate discrepancies and take ownership through resolution.
• Construction accounting experience is strongly preferred.
• Spectrum and Procore experience is strongly preferred.
• CPA designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and working papers for three companies, including revenue, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and post monthly revenue, ensuring revenue is accurately recorded across projects and companies.
• Complete bank reconciliations, cash reporting, GST/PST requirements and annual T5018 reporting.
• Work directly with external accountants on year-end reporting, working papers and adjustments.
• Manage AR, including customer invoicing, collections and cash receipts.
• Manage subcontractor invoicing and payments, including reconciliation of hours/piece-work, compliance documentation and accruals.
• Reconcile Spectrum and Procore to ensure project costs and change values are accurate and resolve Agave integration errors.
• Work with Project Managers on project financials and accounting requirements as needed.
• Work with company leadership to improve financial controls, reporting and accounting processes.
• Support field safety compliance and act as the office lead for JOHS.

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the accounting and financial functions for our group of companies.

This is both a leadership and hands-on working role. The Controller will manage the accounting cycle directly while working closely with the Accounting and Payroll Administrator, Project Managers and company leadership. The role also works directly with our external accountants throughout the year-end process.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the accounting function while remaining involved in the day-to-day details of the business. The right person will be proactive, organized and comfortable working closely with both operations and leadership.

Compensation

• $80,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
