About the Role

We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. Based onsite at our Cornwall, Ontario facility and reporting to the VP Finance, you’ll oversee a talented accounting team, ensure accurate and compliant reporting, and provide strategic insights that guide key business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented manufacturing environment.

How you will contribute to the team

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with ASPE
  • Strengthen and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to protect company assets and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with the VP Finance and operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support informed decision-making.
  • Deliver financial analysis and insights that drive performance, optimize costs, and support strategic business initiatives.
  • Manage cost accounting and inventory processes, performing variance and margin analysis to improve profitability.
  • Lead external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors and external advisors.
  • Oversee tax compliance and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Champion process improvements, system upgrades, and automation initiatives across finance and accounting.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
