What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Global Corporate Banking Finance team, you will help provide high quality and insightful reporting & advisory support to the business team including client / business segment reporting (e.g. revenue, expense, assets, capital), monitoring and assessing the financial/non-financial performance of the portfolio.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you’ll succeed

  • Reporting & analysis - Support the preparation of monthly portfolio and client profitability reporting, understand product pricing models and assumptions.
  • Automation - Manage and maintain client reporting database and dashboards, and identify and propose process improvements.
  • Support with various ad-hoc requests - Provide timely and accurate analyses and support on projects and ad-hoc requests from business and Finance. Stay current on tools and information available to contribute to improving the effectiveness of data analysis and business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships - Interact with Finance and business teams, as well as partner with other infrastructure groups.
  • Be proactive and self-disciplined - Try to anticipate challenges and stay committed to deliver quality results in a timely fashion.
  • Conceptual and organizational skills - Being able to see the “big picture” in a complex environment and translate your understanding and insights into a workable project plan.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 3-5 years working experience in business segment / client reporting and analysis development, and proficiency in using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx etc.). You will also have an understanding of basic accounting principles, along with strong financial, analytical, judgmental and conceptual skills. It is an asset if you have familiarity with financial markets and/or Corporate Banking business
