Job summary

Scotiabank in Ottawa is seeking an Advisor for the CARE Team to deliver professional, customer-focused support through inbound and outbound calls. You will work with customers, estate representatives, branches and internal partners to understand circumstances and provide timely, accurate resolutions.

Responsibilities include rehabilitating accounts or minimizing losses using approved methods, documenting all interactions, and following privacy, AML/ATF and risk guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive conversations calmly and empathetically.
• English is required; French is an asset.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook and internet-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle a combination of inbound and outbound calls in a professional, respectful, and efficient manner.
• Rehabilitate accounts or minimize losses using approved methods, including negotiations.
• Maintain complete, clear, and accurate account notes documenting interactions and next steps.
• Protect customer information and follow privacy, compliance, AML/ATF, and risk guidelines.
