Job description

We are currently seeking a Financial Business Analyst to help assist our growing company. This role will focus on the implementation of several of our Financial modules of our core TownSuite mERP. The main responsibilities include onboarding new clients and reviewing their data with our ETL team prior to going live.

The role requires learning new tools and technologies, with in-depth technical accounting knowledge and a desire to learn. You will communicate directly with clients.

Responsibilities
  1. Obtain, analyze, and compare data, reports, and other implementation data from client configuration throughout the project.
  2. Use gathered reports, databases, and other information to verify legacy processes are correctly inputted into TownSuite.
  3. Compare and validate data between legacy systems and TownSuite reports.
  4. Review project milestones with clients to ensure a functioning TownSuite database.
  5. Take ownership of projects, meet benchmarks, and escalate concerns to the team.
  6. Assist in transitioning clients from legacy systems to TownSuite modules, focusing on Financial and other finance-related modules.
  7. Participate in meetings, report project progress, and suggest technical improvements.
  8. Follow and update staff documentation as implementations evolve.
  9. Assist in module training and go-live support for clients.
  10. Communicate concerns or additional needs with clients, team, or project managers.
  11. Track time spent on projects and modules.
  12. Maintain focus on assigned projects and escalate unresolved issues.
Skills
  1. Strong financial analytical skills.
  2. Knowledge in areas such as Local Government, Accounting, Asset Management, Recreation, HR, Municipal Finance, Inspections, Land Management, or Event Management is a plus.
  3. Understanding of ERP applications and ETL processes is advantageous.
  4. Organized, patient, detail-oriented, and effective communicator.
  5. Troubleshooting skills, independently or with teams.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, GitHub, Salesforce, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Google G Suite.
  7. Willingness to learn TownSuite Municipal mERP and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
