Overview

The Financial Analyst Student will be responsible for monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of financial statements. They will act as a business advisor to Branch Managers to help improve the success and profitability of each business unit. This role will also spend time in the Accounts Payable department to learn processes and systems and enhance core operations knowledge.

This co-op assignment will run from January – April 2026.

How you Contribute to Noble's Success
  • Preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliation, maintenance of accounting records in conformity with ASPE, and assistance with month-end close activity
  • Responsible for timely completion of P&L variance analysis on a monthly basis
  • Possess strong business judgment and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes
  • Act as a business advisor to a network of Branch Managers across Ontario, offering training and collaborative solutions to improve the success and profitability of each business unit
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner
  • Assist with year-end external audit by preparing and reviewing all audit requirements
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of financial reports
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and participate in special projects as required

  • Organized, detail-oriented, good time management skills, and able to balance multiple priorities effectively

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be enrolled in a co-op business program or other such comparable field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working towards CPA designation
