As a senior financial analyst, you are the key person influencing decisions for key business leaders through financial data and insights, serving as the main point of contact to provide findings and recommendations to our senior leadership team and CFO.

Responsibilities include :

  • Acting as the CFO for their business, working directly with management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations and develop reports to drive the business.
  • Preparing and presenting complex financial analysis in a meaningful, concise, and user-friendly manner for senior management.
  • Thinking strategically, leading semi-annual planning activities in partnership with other finance teams and internal business stakeholders to support the division’s strategic planning.
  • Influencing and driving business actions through value-added analysis and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Providing thought leadership and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Sharing and implementing best practices among the team and finance group.
  • Representing the functional area as an analytics & insights professional and building positive, productive partnerships.
  • Overseeing and / or independently performing tasks from end to end.
  • Executing data requests accurately and promptly.
  • Translating business requirements into analytics and reporting needs for specific domains.
  • Applying creative problem-solving skills to develop new and supplemental reporting methods.
  • Designing and developing algorithms and models to analyze large datasets, creating business insights, and identifying opportunities.
  • Supporting data science projects through effective analysis to solve business problems.
  • Consulting with Data Scientists on the selection, utilization, and interpretation of advanced analytical methodologies.
  • Applying understanding of business strategies to produce relevant data analyses supporting business goals.
  • Continuously developing skills and expertise in data analytics concepts and methodologies.

Qualifications for success :

  • For internal applicants, minimum of 1 year in position and performance management code requirements (M+).
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in Financial Analysis, Business Partnering, or Business Insights.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Math, Statistics) or equivalent experience.
  • A learning mindset and willingness to mentor others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven expertise in business analysis and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment, adapting quickly and managing changing priorities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in workload and professional growth.
  • Flexible approach to business solutions.
  • Comfortable presenting to small and large audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with data queries (preferably Google BigQuery or SQL).
  • Experience with data visualization software (preferably Tableau).
  • Experience applying statistical techniques to derive key insights.
  • Experience with scripting languages (preferably Python) is an asset.
