What will you do?

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Assume supporting role within Corporate Reporting team to complete monthly financial closings, reporting deliverables, external audits, and variance analysis of KPIs to identify business drivers of financial results.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for Executive Management.
  • Assist in the design and creation of new financial reports utilizing Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Perform reconciliations to ensure data integrity of financial systems and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Assist with the preparation and consolidation of the monthly Forecasting and annual Budgeting process and reporting from all Business Units.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes in data collection, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis, reports, and financial digitalization projects as assigned.

Internal Controls

  • Assist the coordination of financial internal controls reviews such as conducting process walkthroughs, monitoring of control tests, deficiencies, and remediation activities.
  • Support review and updates of company-wide financial policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities and develop recommendations for process improvements and standardization to enhance operational effectiveness.

What will you need to succeed?

  • Recent graduate from a University in Finance or Accounting.
  • Graduated from post-secondary within the last 12 months.
  • Above average study performance (Accumulative average > 2.5 (B-)). Transcripts to be provided upon request.
  • Very proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong aptitude for learning to utilize large ERP (i.e. SAP) and Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Power BI and Tableau) to analyze large amounts of data.
  • Must be able to go to the Oakville office an average of 2 days/week.
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analytical skills, and reasoning to identify key risk factors and drivers.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership or initiative at school, work, and/or community (extracurricular activities).
