Financial Analyst II Consultant

Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst II Consultant to join their team on a 9-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing daily transactions across the company's Private Investments, with a particular focus on the Private Debt & Loan Portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial oversight and reporting.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

1. Record and process private credit investment transactions including capital calls, distributions, income, and expenses.
2. Partner with investment management, Treasury, and Security Operations teams to assist with investment closing through documentation review, investment setup, transaction entries, and settlements.
3. Review financial reports from external parties and ensure timely and accurate completion of daily reconciliations for high-volume accounts including loans, accrued interest, unfunded commitments, and bank balances.
4. Review quarterly reporting packages provided by external managers and update the market value of fund investments.
5. Collaborate with the Valuations team regarding issues related to fund investment valuation.
6. Prepare financial statements for private entities on a quarterly and annual basis.
7. Respond to questions from internal and external parties.
8. Prepare various quarter-end reports.

Your Strengths Include:

1. An undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance is required.
2. 2+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
3. Working towards or completion of a CPA Designation.
4. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles, including IFRS or US GAAP.
