Job Description
The Financial Analyst will be part of the wider Financial Planning and Analysis team working closely alongside the accounting team, both of these teams sit within the Finance department of Seaspan Marine Group.
The Financial Analyst will work closely with the Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner and FP&A team on monthly and quarterly initiatives, collaboratively working with operations, business development personnel and other key stakeholders. The Financial Analyst will assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with managing and coordinating the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and collaborative project review processes.
The Financial Analyst will assist in developing financial models to support the organization through development of revenue forecasting, pricing, and costing; reviewing these models with direct manager, this includes performing back-tests of forecasts and models to actual results and assisting in incorporating the results of analysis into broader strategic business plans.
In addition, the Financial Analyst assists in navigating the implementation of an Enterprise Resourcing Planning (“ERP”) system; completing testing initiatives, documenting processes for future reference, and setting new reporting standards.
Note : This position qualifies for an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding. Employee will be subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.

The estimated salary for this position is $81,000 - $99,000. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skills and experience as well as position location and internal equity. The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
