Job summary

Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to provide financial accounting, analysis, and reporting support within a large, multi-faceted organization. The role covers financial reporting, GL accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, grant and revenue reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, audit support, and month-end/year-end close.

This position requires a strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting, with hands-on experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive financial/accounting experience.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA designation.
• Strong background in financial accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare financial statements, notes, and supporting schedules.
• Perform GL reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and process journal entries.
• Analyze variances and identify root causes.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Assist with grant and restricted-fund reporting and deferred revenue.
• Assist with asset accounting and payroll/balance-sheet reconciliations.
