Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Financial Analyst, Reporting at our Mississauga location.

What will you do?

  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business health.
  • Prepare periodic (weekly, monthly, or quarterly) internal reports for the leadership team.
  • Prepare supplementary reports to ensure financial statements are accurate and reliable.
  • Research, analyze and prepare accounting transactions as needed for internal reporting.
  • Participate in various month-end activities, including the preparation of journal entries and the investigation of any issues identified.
  • Complete variance analysis of actuals vs budgets and reforecasts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Assist in the preparation of the year-end audited financial statements.
  • Assist with audit requests and testing procedures.
  • Prepare financial budgets, plans and forecasts including assessing inputs for annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts such as sales volume and profit per unit.
  • Perform periodic audits for clients or other stakeholders as required. Evaluate the results and communicate to appropriate personnel.
  • Ongoing evaluation of task areas to identify areas for improvements, increased efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Assist junior members of the department with any questions.

What are we looking for?

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business or Accounting
  • CPA designation
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills and brings positive attitude to work

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $64,090.00 - $92,925.00 CAD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
