Job description

The Dealer Development Financial Analysts' key responsibilities include supporting all dealer financial analysis activities within the department by preparing reports, analyzing trends, and collaborating with the supervisor to make data-driven recommendations. This role also supports invoice processing, budget updating, and tracking. The ideal candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient in tools such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and office equipment.

Responsibilities

  1. Dealer Financial Analysis:
  2. Execute the Dealer Performance Reports and analyze expenses versus gross profit by department.
  3. Update the Mid-Month report to provide an early snapshot of dealer profitability.
  4. Create new reports to enhance visibility on dealer financial status.
  5. Review preliminary year-over-year financial statement changes.
  6. Assess working capital and identify year-over-year changes.
  7. Support ad hoc requests for key financial performance indicators.
  8. Create and distribute executive-level reports.

LOLA System Support:

  1. Assist with Dealer Report Card, GM Assessment, and Ranking reports by coordinating with stakeholders.
  2. Periodically audit Dealer Report Cards for accuracy.
  3. Train zone associates on the LOLA system.
  4. Manage projects with vendors to automate new reports.

Green Dealer Program:

  1. Collaborate with external vendors to track dealer assessments and awards, providing monthly status updates.
  2. Ensure Honda & Acura Green dealer websites are updated with new awards and collaborate on website redesigns.
  3. Coordinate the distribution of plaques for new awardees.
  4. Work with zones to meet brand targets based on dealer status.

Market Study & Industry Analysis:

  1. Conduct monthly market share analysis and reporting.
  2. Create dealer tools periodically (e.g., CrossSells TVIO PCCF).
  3. Support market analysis projects using demographic data, mapping software, and industry data.

Additional Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Ensure timely processing of departmental invoices, input monthly transaction data, and maintain accurate budget tracking.

Qualifications

  1. Post-secondary education specializing in Finance.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience, including financial statement analysis (preferred).
  3. Strong computer skills, especially MS Office Suite including PowerPoint.
  4. Proficiency in Excel formulas and macros.
  5. Excellent communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical skills to identify trends and opportunities.
  7. Solid mathematical background.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  9. Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.
  10. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.

Note: Starting November 2, 2025, the role will transition to a four-day in-office and one-day work-from-home schedule.
