SALARY STARTS AT $55,000

FULL-TIME HOURS:

  • Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
  • Fully On-Site (Remote work not available)

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

This position extracts and analyzes financial and non-financial data from various systems and recommends actions to improve the operational and financial effectiveness of operating departments. This role is key for developing and executing the financial planning cycle. Working with departmental managers and the Finance team, you will utilize your analytical and problem-solving skills to help departments maximize both short-term and long-term financial success. You will enjoy working in a dynamic and fun organization, collaborating and building relationships with diverse internal stakeholders, including all levels of management.

  • Analyzing financial and non-financial information, assessing trends and variances, and advising on action plans to address gaps and improve margins.
  • Supporting departments in developing budgets and forecasts, and assisting with the budgeting and forecasting processes driven by Alterra Mountain Company.
  • Developing and maintaining budgeting and forecasting models and reporting templates.
  • Coordinating with management and providing research and analysis to support strategic plans and business initiatives.
  • Conducting business studies and driving process improvements with departments.
  • Collaborating with IT to enhance the data warehouse for financial and marketing information.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Professional Accounting designation (or working towards it) is preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience is an asset.
  • Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial and non-financial data, and communicate insights effectively to operational departments for decision-making.
  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to questions confidently.
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, especially in MS Excel, with the ability to develop and modify financial models for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and BI software (e.g., IBM Planning Analytics) is preferred.
