Job summary

Bell is seeking a Finance professional for its AI Powered Solutions team in Toronto. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across a growing portfolio, partnering with business units to uncover data and drive process improvements.

In this hybrid role, you will work with SAP or NetSuite and coordinate with accounting, controller groups, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate financial insight and scalable processes during periods of change.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent business degree.
• CPA/CA/CMA/CGA designation is an asset or in progress.
• Experience with accounting, particularly lease accounting, is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Strong technical and analytical skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Identify/validate key business assumptions and incorporate into results/forecast/budget.
• Build financials, billing, reporting, and journaling frameworks for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with accounting and controllers to implement IFRS 16 and IFRS 15 solutions.
• Apply advanced financial modeling and MS Office tools to present data clearly.
• Support the organization through change and growth, launching new portfolios.
• Maintain and enhance actuals, forecasts, and reporting models.

Summary

You will be a key member of the Bell AI Powered Solutions Finance Team, and will be reporting directly into the Senior Manager, Finance. This role includes supporting the full end-to-end budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, including reporting on key projects for this business segment. The candidate will work closely with the business to uncover data points and evaluate progress on key projects and well as work with the related teams to stand-up net new processes from a finance perspective.

The successful candidate excels in navigating ambiguity and thrives in environments where new systems and processes are being established. They demonstrate adaptability and proficiency with platforms such as SAP or NetSuite and are skilled at collaborating with diverse partners. This role requires a strong ability to work through uncertainty. The candidate will also work closely with accounting teams and controller groups, contributing to the development and launch of a new portfolio and supporting the organization through periods of change and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the business and peers to identify/validate key business assumptions and incorporate them into the results/forecast/budget


• Build out financial, billing, reporting, and journaling frameworks and processes for new initiatives and portfolios


• Work closely with accounting teams and controller groups to develop and implement innovative financial solutions leveraging IFRS 16 and IFRS 15


• Apply advanced financial modeling skills and leverage Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to interpret and present complex data


• Demonstrate strong analytical abilities to extract meaningful insights and trends from diverse datasets


• Support the organization through periods of change and growth, contributing to the launch and management of new portfolios


• Maintain and enhance actuals, forecasting and reporting models through an in-depth understanding of the Business


• Prepare financial results and forward-looking budget and forecast models for presentations to senior management

Critical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Business Analytics


• A professional designation or working towards (i.e., CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) is an asset


• Experience with accounting, particularly lease accounting, is considered a strong asset


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role


• Strong technical and analysis skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills


• Experience with economic business cases

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
