Financial Services is part of a vibrant and expanding campus where diversity fuels innovation. Under the direction of the Manager, Accounting & Processing Support, the Financial Analyst provides direct support to the processing and accounting function within the Financial Services Department by providing operational guidance to the day-to-day processing activities and functional assistance to the accounting activities.
The role's core responsibilities include supporting the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, journal entries and other financial transactions; maintaining effective relationships with departmental business offices; responding to enquiries related to processing and accounting; troubleshooting and resolving complex processing issues; ensuring financial transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and comply with established University policies and internal controls; and identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
The Financial Analyst also supports financial reporting and reconciliation activities, including regular and ad hoc reporting, accounts receivable aging analysis, departmental follow-up, and other operational reporting requirements. The position plays a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, compliance and service excellence, and contributes to workflow improvements, compliance reviews and the continuous enhancement of financial operations.
