Responsibilities
About the role: The team member will act as liaison with other GM Financial departments and provide support for portfolio accounting, reporting and analysis of business reports for management including, reconciliation and adjustment of General Ledger accounts and quantitative analysis of monthly lease portfolio activity.
- Prepare and provide daily or monthly routine reporting but not limited to Volume Tracker, Volume Extract, Sales Tax Summary Documents.
- Analyzes and explains month-end general ledger account balances for accounts assigned within timelines specified by Corporate GL group.
- Prepare and certify the GL Reconciliations in BlackLine with proper recording of aging, classifying of reconciliation items and appropriate supporting document.
- Prepare and upload the manual accounting entries to the Oracle general ledger application based on supporting analysis.
- Audit the subvention incentive file provided by Pricing group and upload it to Flexoris system.
- Prepare the subvention adjustment files for automated process as required for any program launched.
- Modify the subvention amounts directly in AF as requested/needed.
- Document compliance with company policies, procedures and SOX controls (EUCA).
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What makes you a dream candidate?
- Working knowledge of Oracle GL System and AutoSuite (Auto Finance and Default Manager) preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills with good organizational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- A working knowledge of US GAAP preferred.
- Prior experience in financial services, particularly automotive finance
Experience
- Secondary School required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance (preferred), or equivalent College Diploma.
- Enrolled in, or completion of, CPA Program preferred, but not required.
- 1-2 years accounting experience in a Financial Analyst role or related field preferred, but not required.
