The United Church of Canada is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Finance Unit. The Finance Unit ensures efficient and effective accounting operation, financial reporting and budget management for the General Council Office and its related entities. In addition to these regular financial management tasks, the Finance unit also provides advisory services to congregations around financial and compliance matters; oversees the nationally sponsored property and liability insurance coverages; and administers various capital assistance programs. The unit also has responsibility for the information technology needs of the General Council and Regional Council offices.
The Financial Analyst is a key resource to the Finance Unit providing support to finance functions with the main focus on financial reporting, budgeting and analysis. In addition, the Financial Analyst is responsible for their assigned operational streams and tasks in the various units and entities that the Finance Unit serves within The United Church of Canada as required.

QualificationsWorking Conditions
The United Church of Canada has adopted a hybrid workplace model, providing flexibility for this position, working both off-site and in the General Council Office, currently located at 3250 Bloor Street West in Toronto, ON. The incumbent will be provided, for work purposes, use of secure devices and must be available by email, phone, teams or zoom during regular office hours Monday to Friday. Occasional additional hours may be required.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $68,204 to $92,273.03. This is based on category 7 on our salary range. Placement on the salary range will be based on factors such as market condition, internal equity, candidate experience skills and qualifications relevant to the role. Pension and group benefit plans coverage and annual vacation round out this compensation package.
