Job summary

Greenhouse is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team with an Accounts Receivable focus in Toronto. This role offers cross-functional exposure across Sales, Customer Service, Logistics and Trade while you analyze AR, manage aging, and support month-end close.

The ideal candidate loves numbers, has a can-do attitude, and enjoys problem-solving. A bachelor’s in business, finance, or economics is preferred; CPA candidates are encouraged to apply. CAD 58k–70k annually.

Responsibilities

• Prepare AR aging reports, collection forecasts, and bad debt summaries.
• Analyze customer payment behaviour and identify trends to mitigate risk and improve performance.
• Support month-end close by reconciling AR balances and resolving open items.
• Investigate and resolve short payments, pricing disputes, promotional deductions, returns, and other payment discrepancies.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Trade teams to validate claims and ensure accurate resolution.
• Track dispute resolution efforts and initiate recovery of invalid deductions.
• Maintain accurate customer master data, including credit terms, contact information, and payment details.
• Monitor credit limits and support credit risk assessments.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes.
• Support implementation of tools that improve financial reporting and analysis.
• Manage and monitor EDI, including exception handling, issue resolution, and communication with customers and trading partners.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.

While a background in accounting or finance is helpful, it is not required. We are looking for someone who loves numbers, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to get stuck in and learn. This role will support the accounts receivable function while contributing to financial analysis, reporting, process improvement, and cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

Desired Skills & Experience

• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
• Excel & Reporting: Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytical tools is an asset.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when preparing and reviewing financial information.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Previous CPG experience working with accounts receivable balances or trade spend is considered an asset but is not required.

Vacancy Status: Existing vacancy

Annual Compensation Range: $58,000-$70,000 CAD
