Accounting & Finance Recruitment Associate

Location: Downtown Toronto | Hybrid (2 Days Onsite)

Contract Term: 6 Months (Potential for Extension)

Our client, a dynamic and growing player in the real estate and construction industry, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects with a collaborative finance team and contribute to strategic decision-making within a thriving organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and project costing for real estate development and construction projects
• Track project performance and conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports and dashboards for senior leadership
• Partner with operations, development, and project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
• Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency and margin performance
• Maintain and improve financial models related to project pipeline, cash flow, and ROI metrics
• Support the month-end close process including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Utilize Yardi ERP system for data extraction, reporting, and financial processing
• Assist with process improvements, internal controls, and documentation initiatives

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of progressive experience as a Financial Analyst, ideally in the real estate and/or construction sector
• Strong command of Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data analysis tools)
• Hands-on experience with Yardi or a similar real estate ERP system
• Proven track record of supporting large capital projects and operational finance
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
