Job description

Our client, a global manufacturing company based in Mississauga is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. The Financial Analyst provides management reporting, financial analysis, and decision support. This role focuses on enhancing understanding of key business drivers and optimizing results within segments and markets. The Analyst collaborates closely with and supports the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Month-end reporting, which involves preparing journal entries, consolidating financial data, and providing insights on key performance indicators.
  • Analyzing and reconciling accounts, performing variance analysis, and ensuring balances align with expectations.
  • Assist in planning and executing financial campaigns, such as forecasting, budgeting, and audits, by collaborating with stakeholders to define key deliverables.
  • Develop templates for data validation and consolidation, ensuring alignment with Group and Regional targets, and works closely with segment analysts, financial leaders, and shared services.
  • Collaborating with and overseeing various reporting system owners to ensure accurate account mapping, compliance and the establishment of proper reporting views. Systems involved include SAP (SAC, ECC, FC) Qlikview, and BPC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Commerce
  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • CPA designation or in final stages
  • Experience with SAP (SAC, ECC, FC) and BPC is a plus
  • Strong ability to work independently
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Access for reporting and data analysis
  • Advanced MS PowerPoint skills for presentations to senior management
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability in financial and business analysis
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Business Intelligence systems
