Overview

If you have a finance background, an analytical mindset and if you love working with numbers and excel, you have landed on the right page! Come join an amazing team at Match Retail as a Financial Analyst. The role will allow for a diverse range of work from day to day operational tasks to in depth financial analysis of business operations and profitability. Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, the role will allow for diverse scope of duties and responsibilities, and accelerated learning for the right candidate who is able to multi-task and willing to take on a challenge.

Summary responsibilities:

General Accounting

1. Monthly general accounting tasks including, payroll JEs, fixed assets, prepaid expenses
2. InterCo charges management
3. Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet and other assigned general ledger accounts
4. Manage interco balance reconciliations
5. Payroll account reconciliations
6. Monthly retail sales tax return preparation

Treasury

1. Review weekly bank reconciliations
2. Weekly cash flow forecasting and allocation of cash spend
3. Other duties as assigned

Financial analysis

1. Preparing and supporting the monthly forecasting process taking inputs from operations teams and updating forecast
2. Monthly analysis of actuals vs. budget and forecast for full P&L
3. Supporting the annual budgeting process
4. Other ad-hoc projects, analysis, and backup support for other members in the team as required

What we are looking for:

1. Bachelors degree in finance or accounting
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance / accounting role
3. Excel – intermediate level – V- lookups, Pivot tables
4. Good analytical and numeric skills, great attention to details
5. Good communication skills
6. Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
7. Ability to work in fast-paced work environment
