Overview

Description

Reporting to the Vice President Finance the Financial Analyst is responsible for Asset Management Data Analytics Financial Statements and Divisional Reporting. This is a Full Time in office position situated in our London Ontario location.

Responsibilities

1. Asset Management

  • Run Maintenance Reports for the Garage (fuel usage kms run accidents cost per km) Additional reporting as requested.
  • Monthly Reconciliation of Assets within our system i.e. Sage WorthIt & MIR.
  • Prepare Independent Contractor maintenance invoices and coordinate with OMs for the charges.
  • Monitor Fuel cards putting in control and prepare reports for analysis
  • Identify potential efficiencies and work on continuous improvement of the Asset Management workflow

2. Financial Statements and Divisional Reporting

  • Update and Support Tango for the monthly reporting of Financial and Non- Financial data
  • Update and support Operations Manager for providing GL details for their region.
  • Analyse monthly contract performance on different metrics
  • Adhoc reports as requested.
  • Provide copies for review by the Director of Finance and VP Finance
  • Assist in preparation of the semi-annual Environmental Scan

3. Change management and Process Improvements

  • Assist Vice President of Finance in development and improvement of reporting and analysis templates
  • Re-engineer processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
  • Work in collaboration with various stakeholders on identification of cost saving opportunities mapping of work and information flows streamlining and de-bottlenecking of information and work flows
  • Assist in development / improvement / update of Internal Controls Delegation of Authority matrix various policies and procedures
  • Support implementations and improvements of various software applications
  • Complete various special projects as requested.

4. Budgeting

  • Coordinate and prepare yearly budget for each contract based on operational metrics.
  • Coordinate forecasts as requested
  • Work with operations in building cost models for RFP submissions
Requirements

Your Profile

  • You posses a College Diploma or Equivalent
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You are computer literate in MS Office with advanced Excel skills
  • You have experience working with the Sage WorthIt MIR and other accounting systems
  • You posses a recognized Accounting Designation or equivalent experience
  • You have working knowledge of data analysis and data management
