We are currently seeking to fill a position as Financial Analyst & System support, based in Laval, Quebec. (The organization offers a hybrid work environment: 2 days remote – fixed schedule)

Key Responsibilities
  • The Financial Analyst is responsible for working closely with the Senior Manager, Finance regarding several financial reporting areas, including inventory management (obsolescence, revaluation, costing queries, external auditor support) and revenue provisions (analysis and support).
  • Preparation of monthly journal entries.
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Support in some SOX controls conformity.
  • Key team resource for supporting various important financial systems, tools and processes, including cash flow forecasting support.
  • Corporate requirements support on intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in the identification of process improvements / efficiencies and provide recommendations to finance leadership.
  • Finance and FP&A support for ad-hoc requests and projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, administration or a related field of study
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial analysis
  • CPA designation (or in progress) is required
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Interest in financial systems and tools, including opportunities for automation
  • Professional, self-motivated, autonomous, energetic and inquisitive (willing to learn key business concepts and add value to processes)
  • Must be a strong team player and work well with others; strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and experience with an ERP system (SAP) is considered an asset
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining a positive attitude
