About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp and analytical Financial Analyst to join our growing manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you’ll partner closely with the Controller to drive financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting, and process improvements — ensuring accurate, timely insights that support smart business decisions and long-term growth.

How you will contribute to the team

Responsibilities:

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls to ensure full compliance with ASPE and company financial policies.
• Manage all aspects of inventory and cost accounting, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Analyze manufacturing variances—labour, materials, and overhead—and provide actionable insights to operations and leadership.
• Review and approve vendor payments to ensure accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies.
• Coordinate external audits, preparing documentation and acting as a key contact for auditors.
• Support tax and regulatory compliance, including VAT, GST/HST, and other filings.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the finance function.
• Provide mentorship and day-to-day guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.
