Job description

Merit Services is currently seeking a talented and analytical Financial Analyst to join its esteemed client’s team in Vaughan. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Analyze financial data, key performance indicators, and trends to provide valuable insights to management and support strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to project future performance, evaluate investment opportunities, and support financial planning processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare accurate and reliable financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
  • Performance Metrics and KPIs: Identify and track relevant performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance and monitor financial health. Analyze deviations from targets and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct feasibility studies, and perform risk assessments. Analyze potential acquisitions, capital investments, and financial projects, providing insightful recommendations and financial justifications.
  • Cost Analysis and Profitability: Analyze cost structures, pricing strategies, and profitability drivers. Identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and recommend pricing strategies to maximize profitability and improve overall financial performance.
  • Financial Presentations and Communication: Prepare clear and concise financial reports, presentations, and dashboards to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum three years of financial analysis experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
