Financial Analyst

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team starting in 2025. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn Power BI and SQL. You will play a key role in supporting our budgeting and forecasting processes, maintaining and improving our reporting suite, and conducting ad hoc analyses to support business operations across both Canadian and U.S. markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and enhance our financial reporting suite to provide insightful analysis for decision-making.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support various business operations and initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and understand business needs.
• Learn and apply Power BI and SQL to improve reporting capabilities and data analysis.
• Support month-end closing activities and assist in preparing financial statements.

Qualifications:

• 1-4 years' experience in a Financial Analyst or related role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, and data analysis).
• Familiarity with financial concepts and reporting.
• Open to learning new tools and technologies, including Power BI and SQL.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
