Job description

The Financial Analyst participates as a member of the Business Management Team supporting the strategic decision-making process for Customer Technologies and Services (CTS) and the Desktop Management Services (DMS) contract. Responsibilities include providing financial expertise and administrative support for service delivery modeling, funding applications, operational reviews, lease and asset management, and business process reviews. The role involves interpreting financial contractual obligations, assisting in the development of annual business plans and budgets, and providing financial reporting for assigned programs or departments. Additional duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams, including accounts payable and supply chain, to address business processes, problems, and solutions, as well as training staff on budgeting, monitoring, analysis, funding, costing methodologies, and technology tools.

What you'll do

1. Collaborate with the Provincial Manager on service delivery modeling, funding applications, operational reviews, and process improvements by analyzing and summarizing information.
2. Assist in developing and reforecasting annual and multi-year budgets, including capital request prioritization.
3. Review financial statements, analyze deviations, and prepare variance analyses to ensure accurate representation of operations.
4. Coordinate assessment and review of orders, lease and equipment schedules, and invoices, recommending payments and ensuring vendor account accuracy.
5. Support staff with system functionalities through training, advice, and troubleshooting.
6. Work with other portfolios to discuss and resolve business process issues, escalating as necessary.
7. Maintain contact with Health Authorities to stay informed of operational changes, assist in setting financial objectives, and undertake special projects as needed.

What you bring

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a degree in Finance or Business, with partial completion of a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA), and at least five years of experience, preferably in a large healthcare environment.
• Strong critical thinking, multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills; proficient with financial and computer applications.
