Role and responsibilities
  • Serve as a core member of the Plant Management Team, partnering with leadership to drive results.
  • Lead month-end analysis and deliver clear, actionable financial reporting.
  • Analyze plant and production line efficiency and profitability; identify opportunities to improve throughput and margins.
  • Support the General Manager with ad-hoc profitability studies (example: demold-time analysis) and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and manage inventory processes to optimize stock levels and cash flow.
  • Calculate and monitor product losses (scrap) and propose reduction plans.
  • Track quality costs and claims, and help improve performance indicators and KPIs.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation and ongoing budget vs. actual monitoring.
  • Optimize the use of Barrie office (leasing, transformation, space optimization).
  • Evaluate and calculate profitability for new sectors (rails & struts) and new product lines (spring line).
  • Provide financial support for capital and manage inventories.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting; Finance or other relevant experience
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing
  • Bilingual English - French (an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with an ERP system
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good priority management
  • Must enjoy spending time on the production floor
  • Attention to Detail
  • Autonomous, resourceful and discreet
