About the Role

As a financial planner, you will focus on developing and deepening client relationships by providing high-quality advice and services within the wealth management market. Your clients are your greatest asset, and your priority is to offer investment and financial planning advice to help them achieve their unique goals.

Following a comprehensive financial planning framework, your responsibilities include selling investments, acquiring new clients, and creating business development opportunities with prospects and existing clients in your assigned market sector.

You will promote sustainable growth of proprietary investment activities within your assigned market area by:

  • Conducting thorough reviews for assigned clients, including retirement planning, wealth management, and estate planning, using financial planning skills and tools to support clients' financial objectives.
  • Having a natural curiosity to discover and meet client needs, providing reliable financial advice regarding investments and retirement planning.
  • Being autonomous and performance-oriented in your approach to understanding client needs, listening actively, and offering personalized strategies and solutions.
  • Engaging effectively, educating clients, providing relevant information, and offering expert advice.
  • Demonstrating a collaborative approach in relationships with peers, clients, and partners.
  • Building relationships focused on delivering an exceptional client experience and developing long-term relationships with existing clients.
Skills and Qualifications

We would be delighted to work with you if you possess:

  • Experience in financial planning and investment sales is preferred.
  • Progress towards or holding the Personal Financial Planner (Planificateur financier personnel) designation, IQPF, in Quebec.
  • Certification as a mutual funds professional, with current accreditation and compliance with the licensing requirements of the Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada.
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently as a motivated entrepreneur with minimal supervision within a larger team.
  • Knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English, capable of communicating effectively in both languages to serve both anglophone and francophone clients.
