Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Business Development Partner to recruit, onboard, train and coach developing advisors in Canada's Laval/Blainville regions, helping them establish holistic financial services practices.

Reporting to the District Manager, you will drive recruiting metrics, provide licensing support, and partner with Centre of Excellence teams to deliver results while maintaining regulatory compliance and a client-centric approach.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related experience in financial services.
Must hold a valid Life Insurance Agent’s license in the province your District is located.
Must hold a valid Mutual Fund license or obtain it within the first 90 days.
Must complete Branch Manager’s Course Examination within 6 months.
Must be in good standing with applicable regulators.
Proficient with Salesforce.com and financial planning software.

Responsibilities

Source candidates for the Sun Life advisor role through community contacts and referrals.
Support onboarding, licensing studies, market identification, business planning and joint client appointments.
Train and onboard new advisors with product knowledge and sales process.
Develop advisor skills through coaching in prospecting, cross-selling and sales cycles.
Meet financial and strategic objectives including sales growth and client engagement.
Monitor advisor activities and ensure compliant operations.
Ensure advisors are trained, licensed and following product suitability reviews.
Escalate client complaints and ensure proper investigations.
