Our Courtenay Branch is located within a 30-minute commute of Campbell River and Comox.

Job Purpose

When you visit a Coast branch, you’re greeted with a line of smiling faces ready to assist with your banking needs. Our friendly Member Advice Specialists excel in sales and customer service, embodying our "How can we help you?" brand through every member interaction. They assist members with personal credit needs, promote mutual funds, term deposits, RRSPs, set up electronic services, open chequing accounts, and add overdraft protections. Additionally, they identify sales opportunities and connect members with the right team members for further assistance.

Accountabilities

  1. Deliver positive and unexpected customer experiences in retail banking.
  2. Engage customers in "Money Chat" sessions to help them save, grow, and protect their finances.
  3. Work collaboratively within the branch to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  4. Proactively offer helpful solutions to customer inquiries.
  5. Achieve sales and referral targets, earning recognition from managers and peers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfortable assisting customers with simple financial needs and promoting products.
  • Minimum three years of experience in banking or credit union environments, with expertise in lending and investments.
  • Post-secondary education in finance, business administration, or related fields, with a desire to learn more.
  • Certificate in Investment Funds in Canada is required.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail.
