What is the opportunity? As an RBC Financial Advisor, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with our high-value personal and small business clients by adding value in the moments that matter to them. You will provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and navigate key life events. As an expert advisor, you will possess a broad and deep understanding of everyday banking, investments, and credit, enabling you to deliver a comprehensive Advice Experience for both complex personal and business needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Consistently demonstrate empathy, kindness, and take the time to understand clients' circumstances, motivators, and concerns in all interactions.
- Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, solutions, and proactively resolve concerns at first contact.
- Utilize your advice capabilities and collaborate with the right partners within the RBC ecosystem to meet clients' full range of financial needs, both personal and business.
- Provide professional advice and education, addressing complex credit and investments, ensuring solutions are suitable for clients' needs and financial situations.
- Champion digital enablement by educating clients to self-serve, leading with advice, serving through digital channels when possible, and encouraging client interaction via their preferred channels.
- Use technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face effectively.
- Implement effective contact and relationship-building strategies to accelerate new client acquisition and retention within your community.
- Collaborate with professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to ensure clients receive tailored and relevant advice.
Requirements to succeed:
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- For Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute.
- For Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance through the Canadian Securities Institute.
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in financial services, handling credit and investments.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Digital literacy across devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
