What is the opportunity? As an RBC Financial Advisor, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with our high-value personal and small business clients. You will add value in the moments that matter to them by providing proactive, professional advice and collaborating with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and navigate key life events. As an expert advisor, you will possess a broad and deep expertise across banking, investments, and credit, capable of fulfilling a comprehensive Advice Experience for both complex personal and business needs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate empathy, kindness, and understanding in all interactions with colleagues and clients.
  • Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client-centric advice, and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Utilize your advice capabilities and leverage RBC's ecosystem to meet clients' financial needs, both personal and business.
  • Provide professional advice and education on complex credit and investments, ensuring solutions are appropriate for client circumstances.
  • Champion digital enablement by educating clients on self-service options, leading with advice, and encouraging digital interactions.
  • Use technology to connect with clients virtually and face-to-face.
  • Implement effective relationship-building strategies to accelerate client acquisition and retention in your community.
  • Collaborate with financial planning, retirement, mortgage, and business banking professionals to deliver tailored advice.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
  • For Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation through the Canadian Securities Institute.
  • For Quebec: Completed Certificate of Achievement – Personal Finance through the Canadian Securities Institute.
  • 2-3 years of proven sales experience in financial services, handling credit and investments.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Digital literacy across devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

Nice-to-have:

  • Second language skills.
  • Active involvement in developing a local community network.
