Job summary

IFG - International Financial Group in Mississauga is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst to join a collaborative finance team. This role targets 2-5 years of experience across financial reporting, month-end close, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

The position will support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, prepare P&L reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and budgeting activities.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.

Responsibilities

This is a great opportunity for an accounting/finance professional with 2-5 years of experience who is looking to strengthen their experience across financial reporting, month-end close, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and explain variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting working papers.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Perform financial analysis to support business decisions.
