We’re looking for a Finance Transformation System Specialist to join our Finance Transformation team. This role will own the implementation, development, and ongoing strategic optimization of Pigment as our new financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform. You will be instrumental in driving operational excellence for our financial systems, acting as both a visionary architect and a hands-on builder. This role demands a proactive individual who can build sophisticated models, drive critical integrations, and influence strategic decisions by transforming our data into powerful business insights.

You will act as the primary liaison between Finance and other business units, ensuring Pigment is not just maintained, but actively evolved to meet and anticipate our evolving business needs. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of FP&A at Lightspeed, by leveraging your strong technical expertise and financial insight to drive meaningful, measurable impact.

What you’ll be doing :

Strategic System Ownership & Operational Excellence :

• Own the end-to-end management of the Pigment platform, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and scalability. This includes managing user access, permissions, and overall system health.
• Drive operational excellence by continuously evaluating and enhancing Pigment's capabilities to streamline financial and business processes, reduce manual effort, and improve data accuracy and availability.
• Influence strategic decisions by providing expert guidance on how Pigment can best support Lightspeed's long-term financial objectives, including advanced analytics and AI use cases.

Pigment Modeling & Development

• Build and configure complex Pigment models and applications to meet granular business requirements for budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and comprehensive financial reporting.
• Design and implement robust data connections with critical source systems like BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, and Salesforce, ensuring seamless, real-time data flow and integrity.
• Collaborate deeply with finance process owners and data SMEs to embed Lightspeed's intricate data structures, dimensionality, business rules, calculations, and financial logic directly into Pigment models.
• Develop and manage sophisticated forecasting processes and components, empowering users with controlled abilities to manage, override, and modify financial inputs.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Transformation Catalyst :

• Act as a pivotal technical and functional expert, collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, Finance Transformation and the FP&A team throughout the Pigment implementation project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architectural design to testing and go-live.
• Identify and advocate for transformative opportunities within FP&A processes by fully leveraging Pigment's capabilities, including allocations, segmentation, multi-currency management, and enhanced reporting dimensionality.
• Contribute to the strategic roadmap of Pigment, exploring its integration with broader systems like Workday, Coupa, and Salesforce.
• Develop and deliver training programs and support materials to foster a highly proficient and autonomous user base within Lightspeed.

What you need to bring :

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Pigment Certified Modeler certification; experience with platforms like Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or OneStream is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience leading or contributing to enterprise financial planning systems implementations.
• Strong project management skills, with experience collaborating with diverse business partners.
• Deep understanding of financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. FP&A experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in data integration and large dataset management.
