Base pay range

CA$35.00/hr - CA$37.00/hr

Swim Recruiting is supporting a Vancouver based, mission-driven software company in their search for a Finance Transformation Analyst (Financial Analyst) to join their team on a 6-month contract basis.

With budgeting season approaching and internal reporting demands increasing, they’re seeking immediate support. The focus of the role is in transferring data and building Power BI dashboards, in addition supporting core financial operations.

The role is fully remote from anywhere in Canada but requires working hours that align with the Pacific Time zone. Occasional in-person team meetups may be held (monthly or every other month), with travel and accommodation expenses fully covered. You will be part of an inclusive and collaborative finance team with strong camaraderie.

There is also the potential for the role of becoming permanent based on business needs which will become clearer through the course of the contract.

A global SaaS company, and leader in its field, that provides solutions to help public and private organizations manage environmental and infrastructure data.

What - the Role:

This is a project-driven, systems-focused Financial Analyst position best suited for someone with experience in building Power BI dashboards, and with a grounding in accounting and finance.

You will be designing and building Power BI dashboards, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial operations, improving financial reporting through better use of systems and data, reducing manual processes and enhancing efficiency through automation, and supporting tax compliance work.

Your role will also collaborate cross-functionally, for example, with IT, to ensure seamless integration of systems.

Who - the Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data science or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a FP&A, financial systems management, or data analysis role.
  • A grounding in finance and accounting and understanding of core accounting principles, P+L, balance sheets etc.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence (BI) tools, with a preference for experience using data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with OneStream, Oracle, and Compass is considered a strong asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a focus on maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Where:

Downtown Vancouver office. While not of the team is based in the Vancouver area, this role is fully remote from anywhere in Canada. However, it must align with Pacific Time working hours. Occasional in-person team gatherings (monthly or bi-monthly) may be required, with travel and accommodation fully covered.

How Much:

$35-37/hr commensurate with experience + 4% vacation pay. If you’re INCORPORATED, please discuss with Swim.
