Qualifications

• A CPA accounting designation and 3+ years at supervisory level.
• Understanding of International Financial reporting standards
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Self-starter who can identify opportunities for improvement and execute on them
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and lead a team of finance professionals
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of excel and proven experience in process improvement
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work with AI tools is an asset

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close process with journal entries review and complex journal prep
• Deliver regulatory reporting to OSFI and other bodies
• Support tax remittance and audits
• Oversee accounts payable and expense analysis
• Serve as key banking contact
• Lead external and internal audits and ensure controls are in place
• Support OPEX budgeting and forecasting
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives including automation
• Mentor finance professionals
