Job summary

PTW Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst in Calgary, AB, to join the IT team. This junior-to-intermediate role focuses on combining finance knowledge with technology to improve processes and automate systems.

You will work with Finance, Operations, IT, and branch teams to analyze requirements, design practical solutions, and ensure data accuracy across ERP and financial applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, accounting, AP, AR, billing, financial operations, financial systems, or related field.
• Experience analyzing business or financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Experience working with ERP or financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial processes, workflows, transactions, and system functionality to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate needs into IT/vendor specifications.
• Map current-state and future-state processes and assess automation opportunities.
• Support UAT, test scenarios, and system changes; document results and issues.
• Analyze data to improve reporting, dashboards, and data quality using Power BI/Excel.
• Support system enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and implementations.
