Job summary

Definity is seeking a Specialist, Finance (18 Month Contract) in Toronto, ONT. The role focuses on leading finance systems projects, including ERP migrations, to drive financial integrity and process improvements.

You will liaise with IT, PMO, and business units to meet requirements and ensure robust testing and reporting. You have a CPA designation, strong analytical skills, and experience with large datasets and IFRS.

Qualifications

• University degree in accounting, commerce, or business administration and CPA designation.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing financial projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and IFRS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Represent Finance in systems projects, including identifying and implementing new financial systems.
• Lead review of business requirements and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Work with large datasets to provide actionable financial insights and ensure IFRS compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and other units to resolve system issues and support month-end processes.
