Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the day-to-day operations of the respective team in Finance including Patient Billing, Payroll, Accounting/Reporting, Planning and Analysis
  • Assist with internal and external reporting or any other reporting that is assigned
  • Investigate, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Assist in adhoc requests

What you bring to the role:

  • Actively pursuing a University degree or College diploma in Business, Accounting or Finance with an accounting/business emphasis
  • A complete or comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures
  • The ability to act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information, whether it’s information for the company or for individuals
  • Well developed communication, organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Strong people skills – a polite and professional demeanor when working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in data entry is required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must demonstrate high initiative and efficiency with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, patients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related Hospital policies.

Work Schedule:

The successful candidate will work Monday – Friday days

Compensation:

$17.20 per hour
