Overview

The Cost Accounting Senior Analyst role is responsible for accurate and timely completion of period close for inventory and cost of sales, performing -analysis of business results and providing insights to senior management. This role will closely partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting of direct and indirect costs in inventory and cost of sales. In addition, the role will lead the weekly close process with our plants to help understand their financial performance and support key balance sheet account reconciliations with both intercompany and third parties.

Responsibilities
  • Lead weekly manufacturing close process while working with cross functional partners and site leads
  • Perform critical period close tasks and post close balance sheet reconciliations
  • Primary interaction with cross-functional teams to provide analysis/insight on period business results, and accounting/controls knowledge to drive financial performance
  • Reconcile and analyze of our intercompany relationship with Frito Lay US
  • Support other members of the team with third party supplier reconciliations
  • Lead periodic and quarterly meetings on inventory and cost of sales
  • Support where needed with finished goods product costing
  • Identify and implement process and systems enhancements
  • Complete ad hoc projects and analytics based on business needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • CPA designation required
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • At least 5-7 years of experience with strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise on financial transaction reporting required; experience related to manufacturing, inventory, and supply chain costs, including hedge accounting is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with employees across the organization ranging from site resources to senior management
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
  • Ability to embrace change
  • Experience in implementing process and system enhancements to improve accuracy and eliminate non-value-added work
