Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst - C11 - TORONTO

The Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate position responsible for generating, tracking, and submitting financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The role's objective is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports, and statements according to local regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Support analysis and submission of reports to regulators and other stakeholders, including local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc., based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
  • Assist with closing books and sub-ledgers, including passing adjustment entries and consolidating financials at period-end.
  • Assist with financial and management reporting, planning, analysis, metrics, monitoring, and forecasting.
  • Document business requirements, review test scripts, and collaborate with business partners on technology releases.
  • Identify and resolve problems using basic finance knowledge, escalating as needed.
  • Support workflow or process changes and redesigns.
  • Manage processes, reports, procedures, or products as assigned.
  • Execute processes within defined parameters.
  • Assess risks appropriately when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and escalating control issues transparently.
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with SQL and/or SAS preferred.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of industry practices and standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Additional preferred experience includes Basel III-RWA, Capital Management, GAAP, SACCR, Credit Risk, OSFI.
