Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Finance Program Manager within the Transformation Risk & Advisory team to drive large-scale finance transformation initiatives. You will partner with Finance leaders to deliver programs, manage risks, and ensure compliant execution across client engagements.

As part of a truly international team, you’ll leverage digital tools, contribute to business development, and mentor colleagues while upholding PwC’s ethics and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in finance or CPA is considered an asset.
• Certified Project Manager (PMI PMBOK, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP, MoR , Agile, or Benefit Realization) desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Jira.

As a risk management generalist at PwC, you will provide advisory and practical support to teams across a wide range of specialist risk and compliance areas.

Our Transformation Risk & Advisory team is growing and comprises a truly international team, with a wealth of experience in transformation advisory services, program and project delivery and risk management. A key focus for the team currently is to embrace and use the latest digital technologies to enhance our service delivery and successful candidates will be provided with focused training to support the adoption of these technologies. Based on our success in the marketplace, we are looking to expand our team's footprint and support new programs of work.

Meaningful work you'll be part of

As a Finance Program Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading or supporting in assessing / delivering large, complex Finance transformation programs/projects based on prior experience and knowledge of leading practices for successfully delivering transformation programs
• Work directly with Finance leaders and drive discussion and action items ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Identifying key transformation program delivery risks and providing advice and recommendations for effective mitigation
• Analyzing program information/data including budgets to identify key insights on program performance and develop recommendations for improvement
• Leading/assisting in developing and executing program and project assurance strategies and plans
• Managing all phases of client engagements, including supervising PwC teams, ensuring quality of deliverables and managing engagement economics
• Assisting in delivering compelling presentations and driving impactful conversations with senior client leaders
• Engaging in business development activities, including developing responses to requests for proposals
• Managing a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning, develops and empowers others, contributes to building a strong and inclusive practice, and consistently upholds the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve

Extensive experience in delivering and/or assessing large, digital transformation programs that includes:

• Leading project/program performance assessments, program gateway reviews, risk-based reviews and cost reconciliation exercises
• Designing the program management and/or program assurance strategies
• Strong understanding of transformation project/program implementation lifecycle and associated risks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively negotiate, problem solve, and influence through verbal and written communications
• Bachelor or Masters Degree in finance or CPA is considered an Asset
• Certified Project Manager (PMI PMBOK, APM BOK, PRINCE2, MSP, MoR , Agile, or Benefit Realization) desirable
• Proficiency in use of Excel. Powerpoint , MS Project, Jira

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
